The State newspaper reported on 2 March that the CDU and SPD to obtain a resolution of the Bundeswehr Lüneburg site has been contributed in the City Council (1). Otherwise see the Greens: they want to do without in the Bundeswehr reform voluntarily at the soldiers. Instead, federal and local governments should support the university expansion. The Greens expect compensation in the form of an additional course in science with at least 500 students and propose a competence center on sustainable energy.
SPD and CDU think of the idea probably little, has just announced yet but OB Maedge:
I will work for the [Bundeswehr] site, the soldiers are part of the city. (2)The CDU is also thinking about the money.
Finally, the federal government invest 20 million euros by 2016 in the modernization of the Theodor-Körner-barracks. (2)
LeuphanaWatch says: The idea of green is still not very badly, and the 20 million € for the barracks Holm Keller certainly gets installed. Maybe catch on cost increases to the lecture hall. OB Maedge should remember his old statements: Some years ago
could decide Celle and Lüneburg, who gets a big prison and who is a university. Celle chose the prison and angry today. Lüneburg sat on the future.
Is the choice between armed forces and major university is not a similar question?
